Signup: Use this signup genius link to register. Please be sure to pre-register for the tournament so we can accurately plan (registration includes: one hotdog, bag of chips, bottle of water) for all tournament participants.
Note: Any additional food you want (outside of the one hotdog meal) must be registered for separately.
Rules: Two person teams will be placed in a tournament bracket and single elimination rounds will be played to determine the 1st and 2nd place teams. There are 2 pits above the pool, so play should go fairly quickly.
Prizes: The 1st place team receives 30% of the entry fees (plus bragging rights), and 2nd place receives 20%. The remaining 50% of the funds will go towards hot dogs and cold beverages to share during the event.

]]>We are SO excited the season is just a few weeks away! It has been a LONG winter and we are ready for some FUN!
We had another FANTASTIC season last summer. So much so….that they moved us up to Division 3! I tried to tell them we were awful (let’s be serious….we were AWESOME) but they wouldn’t keep us down. That will create some challenges logistically because we are swimming very big teams this year. But competition wise….we are going to be GREAT! I absolutely LOVED seeing so many of your swimmers at our year-round meets this year! My heart was bursting! ❤️ Dutchman is going to be a force to deal with AGAIN this summer! YES!
First, we have some amazing coaches returning for our 2025 season! Matt Robinson is returning, but as our Head Coach! Ally Gay will return, but as a Senior Assistant Coach. Eva Koehler, who volunteered last summer, is jumping on as an Assistant this year as well.
We took applications from swimmers to be volunteer coaches. I would like to thank my "team" of swim moms (Mary Key, Lindsey Singletary, and Missy Enders) for going over the applications. We had seven swimmers apply and they are all going to volunteer coach! Welcome to Grace Ann Holliday, Avery White, Addie Sherrill, Colin Briggs, Peyton Bulebush, Conner Bulebush, and Tristan Beckett.
Next, 6 and unders will still have to pass an independent swimming test to be allowed on the team. Your swimmer must be able to swim the 15 yards unassisted. That means they can dog paddle, elementary backstroke, whatever they need to do to get to those 15 yards with no help. Our coaches will be in the water with them so that part will not go away. We introduced this as a requirement three seasons ago, and it was a success. If your child cannot do 15 yards unassisted, feel free to reach out to one of our coaches for lessons. When they are able to meet that goal, we will be happy to add them to our team at a prorated price!
We are so lucky to welcome back our Swim Team Board Members! Missy Enders is returning as the Volunteer Coordinator! YAY!!! Victoria Didawick agreed to return to the monster job of Concessions and Treasurer. WOW! These ladies may STILL be crazy but we will TAKE IT! I am SO excited to work alongside them and all of y'all!
Kyle Holliday and Matt Enders (not by force, but by convenience) are working on Sponsorships again and already have some great ones lined up! Lindsey Singletary is the most incredible Dutchman Downs Pool President! She did so much last year to improve our pool and is working with her band of marvelous moms to revamp the snack shack, among other things....and make our pool even better! We are so fortunate to have her in our corner as well!

We are revamping our sponsorship opportunities! We are working on a tiered system that ranges from $250-$750! We will roll out that information in the coming weeks! If you are interested in helping sponsor our team….please reach out! We love our sponsors!!
Finally, the sick rules still apply. Regardless of illness, please do not bring your swimmers to practice if they are sick. It is common sense, but it is also helpful in keeping the rest of the team healthy.
Here are important dates you’ll need to have:
- May 18th: Meet the Coaches from 6-7pm at the pool
- May 19th: First Day of Practice
- June 1st: Time Trials from 5:30-8pm
- June 16th: First Day of Split Morning/Evening Practice
- June 10th: First Swim Meet of the Season
- July 12th: Cary City Meet at Cary Swim Club
The meet schedule is posted on our website. We are a smaller pool, and we had 115 (!!) swimmers last year. We anticipate that many or more this year! We are offering both morning and evening practices again (once traditional calendar school is out). That schedule will be available soon! If you can come in the mornings, please do. It will help alleviate overcrowding in our evening practices!

]]>Hello and welcome to the 2025 pool season at Dutchman Downs! For those who don’t know me, my name is Lindsey Singletary, and this is my second year managing the pool for the Dolphins. My family moved into the neighborhood in February 2020, however, my husband grew up in Dutchman Downs and has lived and swam here since 1992. This pool truly enriches our neighborhood and those neighborhoods around us, the bonds created each summer and the friendships made for adults and children are unmatched. I love this pool and what it offers this community, and I hope as your Pool Manager I can bring some new life and revitalization to this place we all lovingly call home for four months each summer.
We are excited for the 2025 season. Our pool will continue to be managed by AMG (Aquatic Management Group), they did a great job last year and we are excited to continue this relationship with AMG as a partner. Our most exciting off-season renovation is the Snack Shack, on the backs of some key members and donations we were able to remodel this key space to hopefully provide a much needed upgrade to our facilities, this was of minimal cost and lots of sweat equity. Please come visit our new Snack Shack, we are very excited to provide your children with much needed fuel all summer!
We have raised rates this year to $595 for membership and $75 for guest passes so that we can start saving for a large renovation will soon be in our future. You will see many fundraising opportunities all season in hopes of this renovation being sooner rather than later, please come support the pool all summer long.
