July 4th Festivities
Fourth of July is the most fun Dutchman Day and the tradition will continue this year.
The day will start with our Second Annual Dolphin Dash! This race is a little shy of a one mile loop and will be is fun for kids and adults. There will be no winners, just run for fun, but finishers will get a CUSTOM Dutchman Downs Fourth of July Dolphin Dash MEDAL! Runners will meet at the pool at 9:15 AM and the race will start at 9:30 AM. The race entry is $10 Venmo'ed to the Snack Shack (@ddsnackshack) in advance of the race. Entry will end on 6/20 at midnight. Late entries will NOT GET A MEDAL, but are still welcome to participate.
The bike parade will IMMEDIATELY follow the Dolphin Dash once the last runner finishes. If you plan to be in the parade please plan to arrive around 9:15 AM to cheer on the runners. Come dressed in your red, white and blue. You can walk, ride bikes, drive a golf cart, just decorate yourself in festive gear and come to party. The loop is the same loop as the Dolphin Dash and just shy of a mile.
Then... LUNCH! We will have BBQ sandwiches, hotdogs, and pints of BBQ for sale at the Snack Shack, must be Venmo'd in advance to the Snack Shack (@ddsnackshack). The Sign Up Genius is below so we know how much food to buy and cook. We will start cooking around noon. Come for all the pool fun and a BLOW UP SLIDE in the grass field! Bring a side to share and the Snack Shack will be open all day for snacks and treats.
